Craft Ideas to Make With Last Day of School Coloring Pages
Celebrating the last day of school just got more exciting with these creative ideas.
Perfect for every grade level, these projects are a fantastic way for beginners and talented artists to showcase their skills.
1. Time Capsule Treasures
Turn your coloring pages into a reminder of personal and school achievements by creating a memory box.
Have students color our free printables and guide them to write letters to their future selves, weaving in their aspirations, predictions, and cherished memories.
Roll these letters into tubes and seal them in a waterproof box, ready to be buried.
This activity serves as a great activity for fostering hope and also becomes an exciting time capsule to marvel at during a school reunion.
2. Floral Flashbacks
Display younger kids’ favorite memories from the school year with beautiful blooms.
Have each kid color a design and cut out petals using a free template.
On each petal, they will write down one of their favorite memories from the school year.
For an added sparkle, decorate the edges of the petals with glitter.
Arrange these memory flowers around the classroom as a colorful celebration of educational experiences throughout the school year.
3. Hanging Hopes
Display children’s ambitions for the future by making DIY dream catchers. Print and fill in an end-of-year coloring page. (Printing each page at 25% scale will allow you to hang a few from your dream catcher.)
Cut the colored designs into different shapes and punch a hole in the top of each one.
On the back of each cutout, write personal goals, positive affirmations, and things you’re grateful for.
Make a hoop using wire or a metal clothes hanger. Weave colorful yarn around the hoop to create a web.
Tie the colored quotes around the edge and add feathers and beads for extra decoration.
Hang these dream catchers around the classroom or have students take them home as a reminder of their school year.
4. Bye Bye Bookmarks
This fun activity encourages summer reading.
Print one of your coloring sheets at 25% scale and trim around the edges to create rectangles that measure 2 x 6 inches.
Write the name of a friend or teacher and a special memory you have together. Laminate for durability.
Punch a hole in the top and thread a ribbon through for decoration.
These page markers are a great way to let people know how much you appreciate them as the school year wraps up.
5. Growth Garland

Hang the garland to display the collective and individual achievements and motivate them to aim even higher next year.
6. Memory Book
Reflect on the year’s joys and challenges with a handmade memory journal.
