Oldest School: The King’s School in Canterbury, England, is still the oldest. Founded in 597 AD, it's over 1,400 years old. This school has educated students through countless historical events, from the Middle Ages to the modern era.

School Around the World: In Japan, students clean their classrooms every day. This practice is called "O-soji." It teaches students responsibility and teamwork, as everyone pitches in to tidy their school.

First Day of School: In Russia, the first day of school is a big celebration called "Knowledge Day." Held on September 1st, students bring flowers to their teachers and dress up in their best clothes. It's a festive way to start the school year.

Longer School Year: In South Korea, students attend school for 220 days a year. This is much longer than in the United States, where the school year is about 180 days. South Korean students spend more time in school to ensure they get a good education.

Virtual Classrooms: Some schools offer online classes, allowing students to learn from home using a computer. This is known as "distance learning." It's helpful for students who can't attend traditional schools.

Uniforms: In many countries, students wear uniforms to school. Uniforms help reduce distractions and make everyone feel equal. They can also build a sense of community and school pride.

Ancient Schools: In ancient Greece, only boys went to school. They learned about philosophy, music, and physical education. Girls were usually educated at home. Today, education is more inclusive and available to everyone.

Special Education: Special education programs support students with different learning needs. These programs provide personalized instruction to help every student succeed, regardless of their abilities or disabilities.

Recess Rules: In Finland, students get a 15-minute break every 45 minutes of learning. These frequent breaks help them stay focused and ready to learn. Recess is essential for students' physical and mental well-being.

Lifelong Learning: Going to school is just the beginning of lifelong learning. Many people continue to learn new skills and knowledge through college, job training, and personal study. Education is a journey that never really ends.

School Sports: School sports are a big part of student life in the United States. High schools often have teams for football, basketball, soccer, and more. These sports teach teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.

Yearbooks: Yearbooks are annual publications that capture memories of the school year. They include photos, stories, and achievements, helping students remember their experiences and friendships.

Teacher Appreciation: Teachers play a vital role in education. Many schools have Teacher Appreciation Week to celebrate and thank their educators for their hard work and dedication. Recognizing teachers' efforts fosters a positive school environment.
