Craft Ideas to Make With Christian Valentine Coloring Pages
Using our free holy Valentine’s Day coloring pages as inspiration, we’ve collected 10 craft projects designed to spread the love of God.
From devotional bookmarks to lovely lanterns, these projects are a perfect addition to any Christian education curriculum or as a special Saint Valentine Sunday school activity.
Grab your favorite art supplies and immerse yourself in these religious coloring pages for a truly devout and happy Valentine's Day!
1. Love and Scripture Greeting Cards:
Create handmade Valentine’s cards for friends, family, or partners.
Start by coloring your pages in an exciting array of colors.
Carefully cut out interesting designs like hearts and flowers.
Fold a piece of cardstock in half to create a card and glue your cut-out shapes onto the front. Add sequins, buttons, or glitter for extra sparkle.
Inside the card, write a heartfelt message or a Bible verse that resonates with the theme of love. Try 1 John 4:19 NASB, 1 Corinthians 13:4 NASB, or 1 Corinthians 13:13 NASB.
2. Heartfelt Bookmarks:
Transform your free coloring pages into something practical and meaningful for the bookworms in your life!
Trim the pages into strips about 2 inches wide and 6 inches long.
Laminate each strip or use clear contact paper for added durability.
Punch a hole at the top of each bookmark and thread a vibrant red or pastel pink ribbon through it.
Hand out as Valentine favors at school or gift to parents and grandparents to use with their Bible or reading book.
3. Bible Verse Banners:
Spread the love of Jesus by crafting a gorgeous garland.
Once you’ve completed your coloring sheets, cut the pages into triangular flag shapes or simple designs like hearts.
On the back of each, write poetry or Bible verse about love, friendship, or kindness.
Use a hole punch to make two small holes in the top corner of each flag and string them together using yarn, string, or ribbon.
This beautiful bunting would be a great way to decorate your classroom or fireplace mantle this February.
4. Collaborative Collage:
Create unique wall art for your Christian school or as a great activity during Sunday school classes.
Gather church Valentine’s coloring pages that are colored in and trim to different shapes and sizes.
Attach these pieces on a canvas or a large sheet of paper using glue, pins, or tape. Alternatively, pin directly onto a bulletin board in your classroom.
Add captions, Bible verses, and other decorative elements like ribbons or cut-out letters to enhance the theme of real love and kindness.
5. Love Lanterns:
Brighten your Valentine’s with these easy-to-make DIY jar lanterns.
Start by cutting your chosen coloring sheet to the size of a mason jar. Repurposed jars from pasta sauce or salsa also work well.
Spread a thin layer of glue evenly on the outside of the jar. Carefully wrap your design around the outside, smoothing out any bubbles or creases.
Once dry, pop in a tea light or LED candle. The glow from within will highlight the colored patterns and cast a cozy light.
Display on a coffee table or bedside cabinet at home, or scatter them to decorate wedding ceremonies as the greatest example of love.
6. Pretty Prayer Journals:
Craft a charming notebook to hold all of the things you’re hoping and praying for. You could also use it to record hymns and scripture of God’s word.
Use your favorite gel pens, markers, or colored pencils to fill in your coloring pages. Then, cut them to fit the cover of a blank journal and glue into place.
You can also cut out smaller designs to use as decorative elements on the pages inside the journal.
7. DIY Gift Tags:
Make personalized present labels using our devotional Valentine’s Day designs.
Print the pages you adore onto cardstock to ensure the gift tags are sturdy.
Color your free printables and choose sections of the designs to cut out into small, tag-sized shapes.
You can even use craft scissors with decorative edges to effortlessly add zig-zag and wavy edging.
Use hole punch and thread a piece of colorful ribbon or twine through the hole. Wrap your present and fasten your handmade tag with a thoughtful message.
8. Sweetheart Storybook:
Use faith-based Valentine’s coloring sheets to create your own story of love and devotion.
Write short stories or descriptions on separate sheets of paper that reflect Christian teachings about God’s love, compassion, and kindness.
Cut out the drawings from your favorite coloring pages to illustrate your text.
Bind the written pages and illustrations together using treasury tags or a stapler.
Gift to a loved one on February 14th or hold onto as a special memento.
9. Faith-Based Puzzle:
Keep the enjoyment going even after the coloring is done by crafting a puzzle game from Christian Valentine coloring pages.
Pick a fully colored page and mount it onto a piece of construction paper or cardboard for stability.
Once glued, cut the page into puzzle pieces. Larger pieces are easier for younger children and toddlers to handle, whereas smaller, more complex pieces will suit older kids.
Host a family game night and have fun piecing together your new creation.
These puzzles are a perfect opportunity for kids of all ages to engage in conversations about faith, Jesus Christ, and the love of God.
10. Valentine’s Day Memory Game:
Use your beautiful coloring pages to exercise your memory with this awesome memory game!
Choose a printable bundle with darling designs and print multiple copies to the desired size (printing them at 20% scale on cardstock tends to work well).
Or, cut them to size by hand to create pairs. You’ll need two of each design you plan to use.
Mix up the cards and place them face down on a table or the floor. Challenge friends and family members to discover who can find the most pairs.
This game is an entertaining way to pass the time at Bible study, Sunday School, or before church.

Very nice. I'm a Church Youth Group Teacher and the pictures with the verses and where in the Bible helps the kids to look them up.
